Book NowAbout Busted & McFly
Busted and McFly were two of the biggest British pop-rock bands of the 2000s, each dominating the charts with punchy guitars, boy-next-door charisma, and catchy hooks. Together, they’ve crafted the soundtracks to countless school discos, car rides, and coming-of-age moments. Now, they’re returning to the stage — side by side — for a showdown that blends nostalgia, live musicianship, and arena-sized fun.
Busted — formed by Charlie Simpson, Matt Willis, and James Bourne — burst onto the scene in 2002 with a more rock-driven sound, fusing skate-punk energy with tongue-in-cheek lyrics. They hit No.1 with “You Said No,” scored top ten hits like “Air Hostess” and “Crashed the Wedding,” and released the double-platinum debut album Busted.
McFly followed in 2004, led by Tom Fletcher, Danny Jones, Dougie Poynter, and Harry Judd. Blending Beatles-influenced melodies with a lighter, sunnier tone, they scored seven UK No.1 singles, including “Five Colours in Her Hair,” “Obviously,” and “All About You.” Their debut album Room on the 3rd Floor made them the youngest band to debut at No.1 in UK chart history at the time.
In 2014, both bands joined forces under the supergroup name McBusted and sold out arenas with combined setlists and comedic stage banter. While both returned to their respective paths, this new tour marks the first time since then that fans can see both bands perform full sets in the same night — with a few surprises likely in store.
Trivia You Might Not Know:
- Charlie Simpson left Busted in 2005 to front post-hardcore band Fightstar
- McFly’s name comes from Back to the Future’s Marty McFly — one of Tom Fletcher’s favourite characters
- James Bourne co-wrote hits for McFly, Jonas Brothers, and even the musical Loserville
- Harry Judd won Strictly Come Dancing in 2011 — and still includes dance moves on stage today
